Hi, I would like to know if it is advisable to put the gear box from Drive to Neutral when the car is stationary? Is frequent shifting to Neutral gear bad for the gear box? Or will it actually be beneficial to the engine, reducing wear in the engine, reduce fuel consumption?

I actually have a habit of putting to Neutral whenever the car is stationary.
