I do not run the A/C often and water does not overtly smell like antifreeze. I notice that I get wet floorboard carpets on the driver's side, passenger side, and a bit in the rear on both sides as well. I have a sunroof (I asked my local mechanic to clean out the drain tubes when I had my first oil change done); I don't know if that could be the sole culprit or not. Any suggestions, experience or advice to help diagnose or resolve this problem would be much appreciated as this is becoming an increasingly frustrating problem for me. Thank you for very much for your time, research and interest into helping me to resolve this recurring issue.

I worked on one just like this about a month ago. The drains under the sun roof were plugged. If that has been repaired and you still have a leak, you may have a clogged drain for the AC. If it smells like coolant and it is going low, you may need to have the heater core checked.

Thank you for your response. How do you access the drains under the sunroof? The access to the 2 bolts that hold the interior pillars near the grab handles is not wide enough for any of my sockets to get to; any recommendations? I do not know how to access the drains for the sunroof to check to see if they are clean. Also where is the drain for the AC? How would you access the drain to clear any clog?

Thanks again

Fully open the sun roof. Get something to stand on so you can look down to the sunroof. In the upper corners of the roof (where the sun roof closes down to) you will see a drain hole on each side. Make sure they are clean and nothing is blocking them.

As far as the AC drain, it is under the hood coming out the firewall (passenger side). It is a black rubber hose that points down toward the road.
