Ensure the cooling fans are working.
Ensure coolant level is correct and bleed the system of air by performing the following.

When engine is cold, remove radiator cap and check coolant level. Top-up if necessary and run engine without radiator cap on for 5 minutes, topping up level when required.
Stop engine, ensure coolant level is full and close radiator cap.
Run engine until cooling fan comes on and stop engine. Allow engine to cool before checking coolant level again. Top up if necessary and close radiator cap and test drive if problem occurs.

Ensure the cooling fans are working.
