On starting there is a noise from under car and when I let clutch out there is a grinding sort of feeling in the pedal but when up to speed it goes as well as ever could this problem be the throw out bearing and if so how much would it cost to fix I live in qld australia

It cold be throwout bearing which normally means another clutch. Cold be a trans bearing as well though. Have no idea on costs as we are in u.S.

That car probably has a dual mass flywheel as well. They are generally pretty pricey. In order to tell you'd have to take out the starter and or pull back the transmission. Id drive it a while longer being mindful of the noise and vibration as it gets worse.
