2006 Hyundai Santro Repair Question

Car adjustment
My car has EFI engine.response of my car on petrol is not like how it was few months ago.my mechanic says that my car has lost its adjustment.he says that he can adjust it by using his car scanner.all what he do is that he restores its factory setting.do you think it can do any good?

no, it is all computer controlled. he cannot make any adjustments with a scan tool. he can monitor but cannot make any changes.
