What could be the problem?

Okay, my check engine light pretty much stays on at all times and my car reads that it's running hot and I have a rattling sound and no a/c, and tonight I smelt a horrible burning smell. What could be my problem?

You would need to have the trouble codes retrieved to know what is causing the MIL to indicate. Most parts stores provides free scanning services.

Hot temperature reading could mean there is insufficient coolant in system or a malfunction in one or more of the component. You would need to have them checked.

The A/C not working could be due to the overheating problem.
