Getting code P2008 still coming up Imrc

P2008 code. Imrc circuit low. Have taken valve out was stuck, is now free but code still comes up, is it time to replace. 3.6 v6 alloy tec engine. I should say can clear code but comes up when you start car, which is fault code p2008 circuit low Thanks peter.

I believe that this is a voltage problem, I would check the continuity of the loom back to the ECU, and pay particular attention to pins in the plugs as they can become loose and corrode causing high resistance readings.

Hello did you find a solution to this problem?
I have exactly the same problem with a VE 3.6 Alloytec at the moment, and cannot find the problem. Have replaced the IMRC and still the same.

Hello,

Remove the actuator and see if the intake runners move by hand. What happens is they get dirty (coking) and stop moving and you must remove the top of the intake to clean it.

Here is a guide and diagrams (below) to give you an idea on what you are in for when doing the repair.
