2006 GMC Sierra Transmission shift issue

2 days ago blew trans cooler line, had Trans Hot message appear, immediately stopped saw leak. Replaced lines, added 4 qts of fluid to top off. Now trans will not shift pass second gear. I doesn't seem 4 qt low would destroy trans. Any ideas

When was the last time the trans was serviced. With loosing that much it may have loosened up some junk in the trans. Don't remember if there is a filter outside of the transmission or not. Best thing is to service the transmision and get filter changed.
