Going down the road engine will shut off and wont start again sometimes. Sometimes after a while it will start sometimes it wont. It will go for a couple of months no problem then all of a sudden it will do it again. Had a mechanic look at it could not find problem. Any suggestions.

Scan for codes and check fuelpressure first.

If the codes were fixed and it's ok now then good. But if it still continues to quit and then not restart check cam and crank sensors for to much resistance they can get hot and with to much resistance not allow the truck to start when hot. We have no figures on how high theresistance shold be so have it checkedagainst a new one.
