When I turn the vent selector **** from floor to defrost the air doesnt change,,its stuck on floor. Why is that and what do I need?

could be something got down in vent or something broke or your control cable is not working.

i forgot to ad if **** itself is stripped?

according to my references it dont have an actuator, it's cable controlled. bicycle type control cables.
