2006 Ford F-650 Repair Question

Transission Level Checks
Automantic Transission fluid checks. On my dip stick I have Cold And Hot reading. Pleae explain the proper way of reading the level and if I overful the fluid could it cause any damage.

With the engine running and hot, check the level and it should be in the hot range. If overfull, remove excess fluid.
