Gas smell
I have a 21006 F150 5.4L. I can smell gas in the cab when outside air is coming in through the HVAC system. I can also smell gas under the hood when the engine is idling. It is not constant, it will smell for a minute or so, then go away for a minute or so. Any ideas what may cause this?

Thanks for the info. I do not have any warning lights on. Do I need to go to a Ford dealer to have it checked? Or do you think a private mechanic could determine the problem?
