If these systems actually made the mileage and performance claims that they advertise the major car manufacturer's would have already implemented them. Hydrogen is an extremely flammable gas and is very dangerous to have any amount stored in the vehicle.

THEY MAY BE GOOD FOR THE PEOPLE PUSHING THEM ONTO OTHER FOLKS!

YOUR BEST BET IS TO KEEP YOUR VEHICLE IN TIP-TOP SHAPE AND KEEP UP WITH SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE RELIGIOUSLY (OR EVEN GO OVERBOARD AS I DO WITH MY JEEPS)

THINGS LIKE

A CLEAN AIR FILTER

CORRECT TIRE PRESSURE

INSTANTLY ADDRESSING A PROBLEM (LIKE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT)

INSTALL A DASH MOUNTED VACUUM GAUGE (WHICH HELPED ME THE MOST IN "TWEAKING" SOME OF MY BAD DRIVING HABITS) THE GAUGE WILL ALSO ALERT YOU TO INTERNAL ENGINE PROBLEMS, WITHOUT DOING EXPLORATORY SURGERY!

SEE THE OLD ANSWER I GAVE IN THIS POST

https://www.2carpros.com/questions/2010-all-other-cars-how-to-change-gears-for-fuel

AS FAR AS GAS MILAGE GADGETS (ON MY JEEPS) I'VE TRIED MIGHT NEAR EVERYTHING UP TO ABOUT 5-6 YEARS AGO FROM "OPPOSING MAGNETS ON THE FUEL LINE" TO THE "OLE TORNADO THINGEE" OVER THE CARBURETOR.

WHAT FINALLY GOT ME TUNED THE BEST-US WAS USING AN OXYGEN SENSOR INSTALLED IN MY EXHAUST COUPLED TO A AIR/ FUEL MIXTURE GAUGE (WHICH TELLS YOU HOW RICH OR LEAN OR "CLOSE TO PERFECT" YOU ARE RUNNING) WHICH HELPED ME SELECT THE BEST JETS AND SETTINGS ON MY CARBURETOR FOR THE WAY I DRIVE. MY JEEP IS A '77 CJ-5, HE NEVER EVEN HEARD ABOUT AN O2 SENSOR! "MY" O2 SENSOR DOES NOT TALK TO A COMPUTER AS YOURS DOES MAKING FUEL DECISIONS CONSTANTLY, IT ONLY TALKS TO THE A/F MIX GAUGE, AND I MUST MAKE THE "PRESET FUEL DECISIONS" WHEN I MESS WITH THE CARBURETOR

I'VE HEARD "GOOD" AND "BAD" ABOUT PERFORMANCE CHIPS, I CANNOT MAKE A RECOMMENDATION, SOME STUFF IS JUST TRIAL AND ERROR! (AND EXPENSE)

KEEP US POSTED WITH ANY OTHER MPG IDEAS YOU FIND! SEEMS A LOT OF THE FELLERS HERE LIKE THESE KINDA DISCUSSIONS
