My 98 explorer has 2006 engine. The other day it was idling in park and all of a sudden quit! Have changed plugs on drivers side but was unable to change passenger side I was called to work. Plugs that I replaced all looked fine, I did notice a clicking noise sound a bit like arcing but went away after I moved and reseated boots on plugs.

Does it start up? Check fuel pressure. Has the check engine light been on?

Does not start up, even with jump from other vehicle, just cranks but nothing else, fuel is full, yes the engine light has been on since I have had the vehicle. We live in caribbean Turks and Caicos so it is an island car. But was running alright.

Cheers

Check fuel pressure for possible bad pump.

Get the codes pulled for us.
