2006 Chevrolet SSR Repair Question
Problems
Answer
Have you checked injectors with NOID light to see if there are being trigered? If BATT is 12.45V or higher clear codes attempt to start then check for what codes have reset
No but I have shot ether in the throttle body and it fired off like ether is suppose to die. It died in seconds. I have cleared the codes started the engine and there are 2 codes that stay on. When I try to delete them with the engine running it shuts itself off. It also comes up with a loss of power light. The truck went from 400 hp down to 350 and kicked itself off. This morning it came up with check gages warning light when I started the truck. All the gauges were fine. I hooked up my scanner with it still running and pulled the codes. I deleted the the codes the light went out and the truck died. I started it back up and the light was still gone. Any suggestions.
What 2 codes reset? light is out now and no codes? loss p[ower on?
P0102 and p0113 I also have the intake cover off but if the truck is running and you reset those 2 codes the engine dies. I disconnected the sensor on the air intake. Right before the truck dies the loss of power light comes on. Loss of power light is out for right now. Only two codes come up the p0102 and p0113. This truck comes up with a lot of codes when it dies. If you would like the codes I can give them to you. Some of them I am not sure what they mean.
Think you will need to take in to a Tech this needs a diagonistic scan tool hooked up and testing. Is wiring to mAF in good shape? Have you tried cleaning MAF? has air intake been modified?
Yes the maf looks in great shape. No how do you clean it. The air intake is original
MAF cleaner from parts store. does engine die if MAF unhooked?
My dads SSR keeps throwing codes and when you drive it it comes up with loss of power ang the check engine light comes on to. The newest one that comes up is check your gauges light. When you drive it it goes from 400 hp down to 350 horsepower for a little bit then if you keep driving it dies. Or if you turn the truck off you might as well forget it you can't get it started again. I put ether in the throttle body and it did what ether is suppose it fired over and in seconds it died. I think it might be the throttle body and one of the computers. It has 60 psi of fuel pressure which is good it just won't fire. It also comes up with service abs system once and awhile when all of this happened. Any ideas thanks.
