2006 Chevrolet Silverado Repair Question

2006 silverado. Front speakers low volume and tinny (they have come and gone for last 9 months) Door chimes quit at same time. Is the door chime built into the radio, and could this be the problem?
Did not find loose wiring. Apparently vehicle does not have external door chime module.

get any speaker and hook up to one of the ones that aren't working right. if the known good one works then you know it's the speaker and not the radio
