I have a 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS and it needs a new Rack and Pinion how do I know if its a FE3 Suspension or a FE1? And when I do get to replace this about how much will it run and what else should I replace? Thank you so much for your time! I really need to get this fixed asap!

To figues out the fe1 or fe3 look at your rpo label and see which one is on there.I think the label is on the spare tire cover on the trunk. Let me know if its there. Also why are you replacing your rack? How many miles on your car?

The car actually belongs to my brother, and I am considering getting it. So in all honesty he has been hot roding the car. It has a little less than 91,000 miles on it. I am at work now so I will have to get back to you if its not on the spare tire cover. Again Thank you so much!

I did not see the rpo label on the spare tire cover. Any other suggestions?

Inside the glove box most likely then I would check the door jambs.
