Ignition(key) problem
I have a 2006 buick lucerne that i cant start with the key i have to go under the hood and since i have been doing so if i drive the car for long periods of time it shuts of but starts back up

A bit confused on the description, particularly the 'drive for long time it shuts off but starts back up'. Does the key rotate?, where are you starting at under the hood, the starter? After you drive for long periods of time, are you saying it stalls, but starts right back up? Is there a check engine light, or any type of fault warnings?

How are you starting it under the hood?What does it do when you try to start it with the key?Also you said it dies while driving but starts right back up?Do you have any trouble codes in the computer?The more details the better.
