2006 BMW 118d Repair Question

Sensor light
After I got my rear tires replaced on my 2006 BMW X3 , the 4X4 light started flashing, kicking in the 4X4 everytime I make sharp turns at freeway speeds. It doesn't do it on the street, only on the freeway. Could it be the wheels are imbalanced? I questioned the service person why he added more weights on one side.

It might have to do with the difference in the old and the new tire circumference, measure them and see what it is.
