Hi,
I was just wondering if I was to replace a camshaft can I use another one that looks exactly the same as the one that I have on the car. The only difference is the engine code mine is BBW the other one AVG? I own a 2005 Jetta 2.0 GL

The BBW Camshaft is a special camshaft because of the hydraulic timing belt sprocket. You must use a BBW camshaft.

Sorry you had to read all the unnecessary stuff mentioned above.

Attached is a picture of the BBW & "other" camshaft part numbers. There is a difference.
