Does someone use a scan tool

My vw golf broken yesterday.I don't want to goto the VW4S shop.I 'd like fix it by myself. So I want to get some suitable tools for my car diagnostic is good but, I don't know much. Any one has heard about it or used it? Any information will be gratefully received.

Agreed VAS 5460 is the best. Im certified VW/Audi tech. Whats your cars symtoms. Assumed its a 2. Slow!
