HI GUYS
I have an idea of converting 1zz-fe for aircraft use BY RUNNING IT AT 3500-3800 RPM FOR CONTINOUS TIME
FOR AT LEAST 2-3 HOURS A DAY.
my Q IS : have these engines been live run tested AT MAX RPM OR WITH WOT(WIDE OPEN THROTLLE)?
IF SO FOR HOW LONG TIME?
IF NOT WOULD CONTINOUS 3500 RPM DAMAGE THE ENGINE OR SHORTEN ITS LIFE.
FUEL CONSUMPTION IS OF NO IMPORTANCE, TIME BETWEEN OVARHALE (TBO )AS WELL

Such engines cannot run at WOT for extended periods because the engine control unit is programmed to cut back the engine rpm once it goes over the red line.

3500 rpm is not at its extreme rpm range so I don't see why it should shorten engine lifespan.

We do not have any data for what you are requesting and being automotive professionals, we are not in any position to advise on aeronautical related questions. You should be talking to aeronautical engineers.
