SUBARU LEGACY CLICK PROBLEM
2005 Subaru Legacy • 125,000 miles
Hi, I have a 2005 gt limited with 120k its making a loud clicking noise in first gear while going straight. Axle are good. It doesnt make this clicking sound in any other gear. At idle on cold morning it makes the clicking noise, until it warms or press the clutch in it goes away. The clicking noise is always in 1st gear. I took it to a subaru dealership and they said its $1200 to just find the problem. Ooouchhhhhh. Help I paid 65.95 for them to tell me the same thing I knew before I got there. This noise doesnt affect the performance of the car still drives ok. What could it be. Or is it me but 1200 to just find the problem. Any suggestion would be a life saver.
