I have a 5-speed scion tc. It starts fine and the idel is normal but when I push down on the gas pedal it doesnt accelerate which is a problem since it needs to in order to move when the clutch is let up. What could be the problem?

Are you saying engine does not increase rpm or car just does not move when you rev engine with clutch engaged?

All that I know about the problem is that it will not accelerate, they brought it to a shop and pulled 3 codes from it all which have to do with the car accelerating. It has basically been sitting for a year now so maybe that has something to do with it.
