2005 Saturn Vue Repair Question

Saturn Vue Noise Problem

I have noticed that when I put my car in reverse it makes a very load squealing noise. The transmission is not slipping, could it be the rear brakes?

Do you only hear the noise when moving? Also what size engine do you have?
