Renult laguna 1.9tdi giving alot of white smoke and now has no power it starts and runs still with a lot of white smoke but uses alot of oil but no power at all

Are you using coolant? i think that you better go get the car checked for a head gasket problem.

possible head gasket issue or cracked head even. did this vehicle overheat?

Also with diesels, if you have a low compression this will cause excessive white smoke, check valve clearances as well.
