What could be causing the ac and heater to stop working?

I have a 2005 Pontiac G6. The AC and the heater both stopped working. When I turn the knob to turn it on...nothing happens. The indicator lights on the instrument panel do not even light up when I push them. Any ideas???

check your fuses first there are 3 of them in the body control module under right side center console near dash so the console would need to have soem panels removed to get to them
