Replace driver and front passenger seat covers

Hi. I am taking over my wifes 2005 Altima sedan. The seat covers are really bad, spilled coffee, food, stains, etc. My question: is replacing the seat covers something I can do? I'm fairly handy. I'm concerned about the airbag sensors in the seats. And , if I can do this myself, how do I proceed?

I'll probably order replacement covers on-line. Are there any other parts I need for this job? I'm only doing the two front seats.

Thanks

Yes, you can do it yourself, but it isn't easy. However, aftermarket seat covers are much cheaper and much MUCH easier to install.
