2005 Mercury Monterey Repair Question

Mercury Monterey Battery Problem
It will not start after driving about 3 miles..replaced battery...after it sits approx 2 hours it will then drive for another short period then either just cut off or not start back up. what is my problem or what to check?

Can you elaborate?
Does it stall after driving for a while and it need to cool before it start back
And if so did you check for codes!
Also check fuel pressure
