2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trying Replace Drivers Side Cv Axle Apart Cannot Get

I am trying to replace the drivers side CV Axle. Have it all apart but cannot get the old axle to pop out of the differential case no matter how much pressure I get on it. I have rotated the axle several turns bit by bit and tried each turn. Any hint on what I can do to get this axle out?
