Electronic Throttle Control Warning Light comes on

My Electronic Throttle Control Warning Light is coming on, it seems to be coming on more and more lately. Is this something I should be concerned about? I've also had some noises with my steering after my Jeep is driven for an hour or 2. When I turn the wheel it makes a noise like something is rubbing or no fluids, I have brought it into a mechanic and they changed out my power steering fluid and added a additive but it is still making the noise after driven for awhile, he said to give it some time for the additive to work, would these issues be related?
