Hi-re: 2005 Elantra-fan never could throw out much heat til engine was driven. Today, engine stalled when idling w/fan turned on, temp of dial didn't matter. While driving and turned on fan, it made missed gear sound, like something was trying to engage felt drain on engine. Turned off fan, heard gurgling noise from front of car when driving, multiple attempts caused burning smell in car cabin. Pls help.

The gurgling sound could be coolant. Make sure the engine isn't overheating. Also, if you have a burning smell in the vehicle, check the wiring to the blower motor. A heavy electrical load could cause a major draw on the alternator which you could feel.
