I purchased this car about 2 - 3weeks ago. They changed battery before I bought it. Everythings been fine until last night. I went to walmart and wen I came back out to start the car it started and was running regular, then I turned the headlights on and the radio started going in and out so I turned the car off and started it again it it acted as if it didnt want to start I had to give it a lil gas for it to start up. And this time the EPS light came on and I turned the headlights on again and the radio started going in and out and the steering got stiff and all gauges on the car went down ( gas, speedometer) etc. But wen I turned the lights off everything went back to normal.

So today this morning I decided to go to where I bought the car from and see if he can tell me whats wrong and I started the car and the EPS light came on and steering got stiff then radio went out and gas gauges etc went down to 0. The EPS light seem to come on when I come to a complete stop.

They told me to go to the honda dealer so I made an appt which was suppose to be today but when I got home I turned car off went inside my house for a min and came back out the car wouldnt start. Its making a clicking noise when I try to start it. I even tried giving it a lil gas still didnt work.

What could be the possible reason for this? I know the EPS stands for power steering, could it be worn out? Need something replaced? Or need sensors? This is my first car thats been gas - electric so I know nothing about gas - electric cars.

It sounds like the alternator for the 12 volt system isn't working and the battery they put in it is now dead. Itll charge back up but youre going to have to check the 12 volt charging system. That's different from the motor drive battery. You might be able to jump the car off but if you can charge the battery fully before driving it to Honda then do. That should get you there. If not have it towed. You don't want to break down in the middle of the street

Ok. Yea my battery is dead cause I just tried starting it again.

Now what about the EPS? The power steering? Is normal for these cars? Wat will I need to replace? I researched online and seen many ppl have same problem.

The eps isn't going to work without the proper voltage. Its got a 12 volt motor instead of being driven by a belt. Do the charging system first then address the eps if theres still a problem

Youre welcome! Make sure to check the charging system too. No less than 13.5 volts at idle with all the accessories on after the batterys been replaced or fully charged
