2005 GMC Envoy car still has a miss

  • 150,000 MILES
I can now start it and it will idle butit misses. I pulled 1 coil unit off at a time but can't isolate it. How can I find out which cyl is missing. Is there a test I can do. Please help me. I worked on cars all my life. New cars?

A scanner will give a code which one it is 301 is cyl 1 302 cyl 2 and so no autoparts do for free

The scanner says crankshaft sensor bad will that make it miss?

It can because it doesn't send the correct signal to ignition box which then tells coils to fire
