2005 Ford Ranger Repair Question

2005 ford ranger won't start

Last time driving it notice that the motor was rebbing up alittle while it was in neutral. Went to start it a few days later and it will not start. It will turn over but want crank. any Ideas on where to start to look at?

scan for codes and check fuel pressure first.

can the computer be scanned if the truck won't crank

yes you only need to turn the key on, you need a scanner though. fuel pressure can be checked that way as well, fuel pressure should be 60-65 psi
