I have a 2005 ford mustang 4.0. I got a diagnostic test done and it read that it was misfiring 5 and 6. I got those sparkplugs changed and reran the diagnostic. Same thing came up. The car shakes while breaking, the check engine light is on and starts blinking after about 6mins and there is a loud ticking noise. There is oil in the car and the car starts to shake really bad when I'm breaking. What can be the problem?

the ticking may be the key. under the valve cover is the rocker arms and lifters. there may be an issue there where someting has failed.

remove the valve cover and check.
