I am trying to replace the rear wheel bearing on a 2005 ford focus and would like to know the best way to get the old bearing out of the drum

I do not have a press and have removed a snap ring. The bearing went out and was in pieces when I got the drum off of the car.

If this is a 2wd, you should be able to just tap them out from the opposite side.

I have ben trying that but it has not worked, should I be using a piece of pipe or something to put against the part that is still in the drum

You could do that. Make sure the removal area isn't blocked. For example, place the drum on something that will allow room for the old bearing to come out.
