Ford Focus Burning rubber Problem

My engine lately has had a burning rubber like smell. I'm a chic & would need know where to put the water as I know it's needed I believe for the altarator(???). Anyway, I just had an oil change about a month & I'm going to have my friend look at it when hes back in tiwn but I'm at a gas station now & can put water in it now just to make sure it's the right one!

put it in the coolant resevoir, it may have a green cap on it or look funny if all esle fails look in your manual that came with the car it will show you. If it is low, have it pressure check for leaks.
