FORD CROWN VICTORIA HEADLIGHTS PROBLEM

2005 Ford Crown Victoria • 82,000 miles

My headlights go off and on. I first noticed my key fob button didn't make the headlights flash or horn honk, then a week later my headlights flashed off and came back on. Now they go off and on regularly. It doesn't seem to take a bump or touching of the switches. I've been sitting still and half them go off then 2 or 3 minutes later come back on. But some times when I hit the turn signal lever that controls the bright lights it seems to coincide with them going off. And sometimes when they go off, flipping the dash switch back and forth rapidly will cause them to come back on. When the lights go off, pushing the turn signal lever forward does not cause the bright lights to come on, but if you pull the lever back, towards the driver, and hold it the bright lights will come on. Tried unhooking the dash switch when the lights were off, it did not cause the lights to come on as it does normaly
