My transmission started off shifting hard or stay in limp mode. I replaced they input and output speed sensors and the problem went away for about 6 months. Now my speedometer quit working and the transmission is staying in limp mode. I tried replacing sensors again and my problem remained. I have pulled both sensors out and check the gears internally and the input gear turns with the transmission but I can move the output gear freely. Is this gear suppose to turn freely when the transmission is in park? Correction. The input gear moves freely and the output gear moves with the trans.

Ok, there is a 3rd sensor on the rs axle output. It is for the speedometer. Look under the car where the axle shaft gores into the trans. The sensor will be on top of the housing. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
