2005 Dodge Neon spuddering and popping sound

2005 dodge neon sxt, after doing the exhaust headers on the car, after about 2 weeks my car started to make popping noises from the exhaust when I hit the gas from a dead stop or going slow to a faster speed, I did have 2 vacuum leaks I'm pretty sure I fixed it, any suggestions, It takes a few to actually build up speed after the multiple popping noises and also it seems to almost stall when going in reverse like it wants to, when I'm at a red light for a while the car starts to feel like its rough idle then abut to die and then stops multiple times, please help I don't know what else to do

Has the check engine light come on? When was the last tune up? As far as the popping, does it sound a bit like a backfire?

No check engine light, about 10k there was supposedly a tune up at the place I bought it from and yes kinda like a backfire sound

IF you made the exhaust free flowing, it isn't uncommon to hear a backfire when slowing down.

Its when I hit the gas from a dead stop it makes a puddering sound n popping noise and takes a second to take off and then it takes off

No check engine light at all, there was one for a vacuum leak before this was happening but I fixed it
