MYSTERY PROBLEM WITH SXT
2005 Dodge Neon • 4 cylinder FWD Automatic • 128,000 miles
I have a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT with 128,000 miles on it that is once again broke down. Problems started in March with the check engine light coming on and a loss of power, it would not go over 35mph. Took it to shop and they told me that the computer was bad so they replaced the computer, two days later they had to put a second computer on because they said that something electrical had fried the first one. They repaired the electrical system at that time but I am still having some of the same issues. I have taken it to two different shops since because it either will not crank at all, or it cranks but you have to have one foot on the gas and one on the brake when you have to stop for a light or stop sign. If you don't, the oil light comes on and it cuts off every time you take your foot off the gas and step on the brake. I have had all the fluids checked and a recent tune up done with no improvement. They have replaced the battery cables, cam sensor, and the air temperature sensor but it is still not working. Can anyone please tell me something else to try that can get this car on the road again? Thanks.
