I have a Daihatsu Serion S 998cc 2005 and I recently had it serviced and was told that I needed to get a new oil filter casing/housing?
The mechanic wasn't an English speaker and seemed unsure of himself when describing this part, so I wanted to find out for sure exactly what to ask for when ordering this part. Can you help me please?

Why do you need to replace the oil filter base? Quite often it is the O ring behind the base that leaks.
