I have a Chevy impala2005 3.4 base. Recently I had to replace the ignition switch and lock and key assembly because we got in it one night for a cruise around town got to a gas station turned the car off. Got back in went to start it, turn the key to acc it powers up like normal wait a sec and the turn it to the on position still everything normal, as soon as I go to turn the key to crank it over and as I do all the dash lights go off and radio went black, then as soon as I let the key go and swing back to the on position like normal if it would have cranked over and started all the dash lights and radio lights come right back on and in the message center flashes the security light then battery then back to security and then stays solid. Found out it was the passlock security system Chevy put in these cars, so I replaced ignition switch, lock and key assembly, alternator, and battery. Then reset the passlock system manually. Now a week later driving in town and while braking and turning with the turn signal on all of a sudden the security light comes on and stays solid but no loss of power or control and radio still works, park it turn it off expecting for it to not start and surprisingly it starts no problem this security light keeps poping on at random times but not everytime then the other day went out to start it it started fine but no dash lights and I then played with the headlight switch and it all came on. Next couple times no problems when starting up. Then I took it across town to get coffee went in the shop then back to the car go to start it starts fine but radio says locked. Turn it off and back on fine radios unlocked now no problems. Please tell me what you can ive had more problems with this Chevy impala that was bought off a dealers lot then any junker ive ever bought private sale. Ready to drive it off a cliff. GM lost a very large and very loyal family because of this. We always trusted Chevy for dependable vehicles but after this I think dodge will get our businesses attention

Iam going to need the codes from the computers which will take more then just a free code reader from the auto parts store. It takes a more advanced scan tool to read all the computers like the body control module cluster etc. Just to let you know more then just chevy are getting advanced computer controlled modules that control everything. To save the amount wires in the car cost to build etc. These modules run a incredible amount of things and they do fail and cause weird problems. Its really hard to get away from that unless you get a older car. Also with your car we need the exact code numbers not code descriptions plus me might need a scan tool that can read live data of the sensors to diagnose the problem.
