When replacing the drive shaft center bearing or carrier bearing, I had to take the cv apart, located on the front rear drive shaft. After reassembly the Fluted bearing carrier came off the spline shaft after a month of driving. I wanted to replace the spring clip thinking that would solve the problem. There is a repair kit available but I think that I need just to replace the clip. Am I thinking this correctly. I have since put it back together and in the test drive the bearing carrier slipped back over the spring clip again. Just clip or repair kit?

You may have to do like in pic with a press to get it off, unless your clip is not out of the way.
