Buick Lesabre Repair shop Problem
My car was starting to run hot. Water checked okay. Toke it in for repair. Had the thermostat replaced. On driving away the Tempature gage was not working. Toke it back to the repair shop. They check all wiring and it check okay. The said it must be the tempature gage is inop. What happen to the temp. gage during the repair to the thermoatat

they can do a sweep test for the dash unit with a scan tool. did they do this??
the unit is close to the housing. my suggestion is to get a second opinion to verify the sender unit failure,
