Exhaust system
Had a resonator installed by midas...exhaust sounds.loud....is this after market part the problem?
just prior to having resonator installed on a cold morning when turning the ignition i heard a puff sound which seemed to be at lower part ot engine around cat/converter area..car then started ok....have heard same a couple times after resonator installed
also have had a hissing crackling sound inside car when turning ignition

the resonator may be the reason for your car being loud. have a pro listen to the hising/cracking sound as online here we would haveno idea other than a vacuum leak.
