Hi, I'm just wondering what might be the cause of rain water leaking into my car and how much this might cost to repair. The floor of the drivers seat and passenger seat behind the drivers seat are both flooding with water after it rains and currently with the rain being quite bad its becoming a real problem. I've looked in my car whilst it has been raining and yet cant seem to find where it's coming from other than I presume under the carpet towards the front of the car, the roof of my car is dry so it isnt leaking in from there. Any help would be really appreciated.

A good suspect for this type of leak is the plastic water shields right behind the door trim panels. If someone removed one to service something in the door, they have to be resealed completely or rain water will drip onto them, then onto the sill plate and onto the floor. The clue is the leakage will change significantly when you park the vehicle in a different orientation, such as with a different side higher or lower.
