To remove the mirror, you need to remove the inner door panel. Once it is off, you can access the retaining bolts.

How do I replace the mirror glass (power, but non-heat) on the passenger side of a 2004 Toyo Highlander? I tried once, but the adhesive patches wouldn't stick very well onto the white plastic mount and fell off in a couple of blocks. Any images, etc online?
