My car starts pretty much all the time except sometimes when it is cold, and my battery is not a year old.

What exactly is it doing? Cranking over and w/n start or just won't crank at all/nothing-at times-

It acts like it is trying to crank and it doesnt. But, like isaid it is not happening all the time either.

If and when it acts up-start by checking the fuel pressure if its within specs-if okay check for a snapping blue spark

Let me lend my hand in this one if it start's cranking for a brief moment then stop's then most likely that's the security system kicking in.So when it doesn't start is the security light on solid or flashing?If so you need to have your body control module scanned for code's if you have a B2960 and or B3033 then you need to replace the ignition switch.Really common on all the ion's for when they get cold to not start and the ignition switch to fail and not start.Let me know if im correct.
